Some of you may recall that I was looking for help in May. And I’m thrilled to report that I not only found whom I was looking for, but I got two of them! So without further ado, it’s my distinct pleasure to welcome two fantastic bloggers to Beyond Distance – Krissy and Stephanie. Over the past months, through several conversations I’ve gotten know them better – both as runners and bloggers. It is without any doubt the contribution from these two ladies will fit into this blog seamlessly.
I connected with Krissy on Twitte (@krissymmurphy) a while back and learned that she first laced up for a run in 2010. Soon after her initial C25K program, Krissy saw huge improvements in her training and began tackling longer distances. Merely 5 months into her running career, she completed her first half marathon in 2:04! Today Krissy continues to train for marathons consistently and loves every minute of it. For more, don’t forget to check out Krissy’s personal blog.
Stephanie (@EpicuriousRunnr) and I met during a blogger meet-up hosted by Jocelyn (@enthusiasticrun) several months ago. In 2008, Stephanie picked up running as a way to lose weight and get in shape. As with many runners – myself included – she soon became addicted to running and racing. In addition to running, Stephanie also writes professionally as the Head Editor of IReallyLikeFood. Be sure to take a look at Stephanie’s personal blog.
As awesome as I am (sarcastically speaking, really), there are simply some topics that I am unable to cover as a male runner. To fill the gap, Krissy and Stephanie will be posting on a bi-weekly schedule here on Beyond Distance to offer more insight in that regard. You can learn more about these two runners from my About page – or simply drop a line below or tweet them.
